Privacy and Offline Independence

Skipper is designed to perform its essential AI processing locally, without relying on an internet connection or an external cloud-based assistant.

Core intelligence and information remain within the Skipper system.

Voice requests, locally stored knowledge, memories, visual information, and system settings can remain within the installation rather than being routinely sent to remote services for processing.

Offline operation also provides practical independence. Skipper’s essential functions do not disappear because a connection is unavailable, a remote service changes, or an online subscription ends.

Internet access may still be used separately when chosen for updates, transfers, or other optional tasks, but it is not required for Skipper’s core operation.

This local approach gives the user greater control over how the system operates, what information it stores, and how that information is managed.
