Safety and Responsible Use

Skipper is an assistive AI system intended to provide information, reminders, conversational assistance, and access to locally stored knowledge.

Artificial intelligence can produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misunderstood, or inappropriate for the situation. Information provided by Skipper should therefore be reviewed and, where necessary, confirmed using reliable documentation or a suitably qualified person before it is acted upon.

Skipper must not be treated as the sole source of information for safety-critical decisions, emergency response, navigation, medical care, legal matters, equipment operation, or any situation in which incorrect information could result in injury, loss, or damage.

The system’s voice recognition, visual recognition, reminders, alarms, cameras, sensors, and other automated features may occasionally fail to detect, identify, interpret, or report an event correctly. Skipper does not replace required safety equipment, alarms, inspections, manuals, procedures, or responsible human supervision.

Users remain responsible for evaluating Skipper’s responses and for the decisions and actions taken while using the system. Do not follow any instruction that appears unsafe, unreasonable, unlawful, or inconsistent with established procedures.

Skipper should be installed, powered, and operated in accordance with the supplied instructions and only within its stated operating conditions.
